disabilities for 28 years. Phyllis strongly believes that every
individual has a productive role they can play in the community. She
supports and hopes to contribute to NACL's efforts to personalize productive

Dawn Tyndall
Dawn Tyndall currently runs her own business - Tyndall Effect Presentations (www.dawntyndall.com).
Dawn is a recording artist, motivational speaker, and workshop facilitator. Drawing upon life experiences of being a wife and mother for over 20 years,
as well as the "experience of a lifetime" of being an elected City Councillor, she mixes humour with everyday life examples and practical applications
for audiences all over North America. Dawn strongly believes each and everyone has something to offer and shares ways to not only find "your place" but
CREATE your place. Dawn's community involvement spans over 16 years serving on such boards as the United Way, Boys and Girls Club, Crimestoppers, and Nanaimo
Citizen's Advocacy. As a sister of a sibling with schizophrenia, mental health is an important matter to Dawn. Dawn sees serving on the NACL Board as a way
to 'give back' for all the years of kindness her sibling received in Victoria at Garth Homer Society, and a way to personally join in on promoting 'true community.'
Dawn was elected to the NACL Board of Directors at our Annual General Meeting on June 26, 2008.
