Residential Services
NACL operates seven residences in the Nanaimo community, providing a wide range of services to a diverse group of individuals. Each residence is home to two to six people. All the homes are tastefully decorated, and each resident has his/her own private living area.
Each NACL resident has a community integration plan which ensures they are involved in their community on a regular basis. Family and friends are encouraged to be a part of the residents' lives.
All NACL residents are currently referred to us by Community Living British Columbia.
Residential Services Staffing
Each home has a "Licensed Person in Charge," licensed by the Ministry of Health (Community Care Facilities Licensing Branch), which ensures that provincial legislation is followed.
All staff are trained based on specific client needs, and are required to provide and/or keep the following documentation/certifications up to date:
| - | First aid certificate |
| - | Criminal record search |
| - | Class 4 driver's license (for wheelchair transport) |
| - | TB test (with negative results) |
