Uplands Housing Development

We're making great progress on on our new housing development at 3425 Uplands Drive.  When finished, it will have three buildings and a total of 28 townhouse units - 12 of which will house persons served by NACL, and the remaining 16 occupied by working people with an appreciation for people with diversabilities, at 90% of market rent.

In partnership with Community Living BC (CLBC) and utilizing a thoughtful, person-centered approach, we will ensure a resource system with a focus on unpaid community supports is in place.

We are extremely thankful for the support of BC Housing with this project, along with John Jessup and Associates, dys Architecture, and Knappett Projects Inc.

Check out the latest pictures from April and May 2020, showing where we're at with construction - including some interior shots!

Keep watching for further updates as we get closer to move-in day - exciting times, for sure!

Rock for a Cause

NACL is thrilled to have partnered with our friends at the Nanaimo Child Development Centre to put on an epic rock concert, benefiting both of our charities!  We've just secured a new date, so please come ROCK FOR A CAUSE with us and see legendary 80's Canadian bands The Headpins and Honeymoon Suite at the Port Theatre on Saturday, April 3, 2021!

For more information or to get tickets that can be held for the future date (they're $75 each), here's the link to our event:

Rest assured if you bought tickets before, they'll still be honoured - and just in case the April 2021 also doesn't work out, we have a backup date for that!  We'll update everyone closer to that time, as things evolve re COVID-19.  We're excited to do whatever we can to make this event happen - so, we thank you for your support!
